Arsenal will block Joe Willock from going out on loan this month amid interest from Sunderland, according to Football.London,
The Gunners will be looking for new signings this month, but are now having to put the stops on some of their young players moving on.
Willock netted twice for Unai Emery’s side during Arsenal’s 3-0 FA Cupvictory over Blackpool last weekend.
The youngster has been limited to domestic cup and Europa League fixtures, but is impressing both Gooners and Emery.
Like Willock, Eddie Nketiah is another upcoming talent who needs playing time. The teenager was prolific in the academy and could do with regular minutes under his belt.
However, the report claims Arsenal won’t allow either player to go out on loan, preferring to keep the duo at the Emirates Stadium rather than farm them out this month.
