And the answer is… Alexander Hleb!
Hleb played alongside Fàbregas at Arsenal, Yaya Toure at Barcelona and Lee Bowyer whilst on loan at Birmingham City.
He started his career at Arsenal in June 2005 on a four year deal for a fee which had the potential to rise to €15 million.
The Belarusian took up many midfield positions whilst playing for Arsenal under Arsene Wenger but eventually settled in on the right wing for Arsenal.
Unfortunately he didn’t quite see his four year deal out leaving The Gunners in 2008 three years after signing for the club.
Like Cesc Fàbregas and Thierry Henry, Hleb left Arsenal in favour of a trip to the Camp Nou where he spent four years and only made 18 appearances for Barça. Struggling to catch the first 11, Hleb completed three loaned moves. First to his former club Vfb Stuttgart then Birmingham City and VfL Wolfsburg.
In an interview with The Guardian, Hleb admitted that the biggest regret in his life was leaving Arsenal for Barcelona.
But not to worry, Hleb will be able to play in front of his beloved Arsenal fans again soon as he currently plays for Belarusian League Champions, BATE Borisov who face the Gunners soon in the first knockout round of the Europa League.
