While Arsenal were able to agree personal terms with Ivan Perisic, it appears no such agreement could be met with Internazionale, with the Italian giants refusing to let the Croatian international leave on loan.
However, it appears Unai Emery already has an alternative in place.
Reports are now claiming that Yannick Carrasco, who was linked with the Gunners earlier in the January transfer window, is back at the top of the club’s wanted list following the breakdown in talks with Inter over Perisic.
The former Atletico Madrid winger is currently plying his trade for Chinese Super League outfit Dalian Yifang, but Yifang are willing to part with the Belgian wideman if they can find a suitable replacement before their transfer window closes.
Fortunately for Arsenal, the transfer window in China doesn’t close until 28th February, meaning Yifang have more time to find an adequate replacement for Carrasco and may be more willing to do business in the next two days as a result.

Carrasco made 123 appearances for Atlético during his time in the Spanish capital, scoring 23 goals, including one in the 2016 Champions League final. He also has 31 caps for Belgium, scoring five times for his country.
What do you make of this potential deal, Gunners fans? Would you rather the club try and force through a deal for Perisic or are you happy with Carrasco?
