Some clubs will go to great lengths to secure a signing on transfer deadline day and sometimes, will go very public with their pursuits, as Real Betis did yesterday.
Following the posting of a video on Twitter by BT Sport of Hector Bellerin selecting the favourite football kits he has worn over the years, one stood out for Real Betis, as the full-back revealed his dad’s influence led to him being adorned in the green of white before any other team’s colours.

And, sensing their opportunity, the La Liga club’s Twitter team sprung into action to try and begin negotiations for the Gunners star.

Very tongue-in-cheek of course, but you can’t fault a club for trying. And, let’s face it, those ’90s Betis kits were absolute fire so if a few of those were included in the negotiations, it’d be a hard deal to turn down.
