The former Spurs midfielder turned 36-years-old yesterday and as part of his celebration he decided to troll Arsenal.
The Dutchman thanked his fans for the birthday messages and wished his former teams luck this week in the Champions League.
Van Der Vaart used to play for Spurs, Ajax and Real Madrid who are all in action this week.
The tweet then took a shot at Arsenal as he added: “Wondering who’s playing Thursdays?”. A dig at Arsenal’s upcoming Europa League Fixture against BATE Borisov.
At two of the clubs mentioned above, Ajax and Hamburg, Van Der Vaart played a combined total of 24 games in the UEFA Cup.
The tweet shared a video of one of his ‘favourite’ goals which was for Hamburg against Arsenal in the Champions League.
Thank you to everyone for all the birthday messages. Here’s one of my favourite goals, against Arsenal!!
Glad @ChampionsLeague is back this week with my clubs @AFCAjax @realmadrid and @SpursOfficial all in action. Wondering who’s playing Thursdays? 🤪 pic.twitter.com/qSF3NK73eV
