The girlfriend of ex-Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has got an unusual tattoo dedicated to her boyfriend.
Bendtner joined Arsenal at 16-years-old and spent ten years at the club. During that time he managed to score 24 goals and pick up the nickname ‘Lord Bentdner’.
Things didn’t really work out for the striker at Arsenal so he was loaned out to Birmingham City, Sunderland and a surprising deadline day switch to Serie A giants Juventus.
After moving on from Arsenal in 2014 the Danish striker had two unsuccessful spells with VfL Wolfsburg and Nottingham Forest. During his time there he only managed to score five goals in a combined 46 games.
The 31-year-old seems to have found his feet more recently in Norway. In 2017 Bentdner signed for the Norwegian champions Rosenborg and picked up the top goal scorer in the league award in 2017.
More recently Bendtner has been caught up in controversy. He is currently serving a 50-day sentence for assaulting a taxi driver in November 2018.
He posted this picture on Instagram of him wearing his electronic tag:
His girlfriend, Philine Roepstorff has stood by him and has even got herself a tattoo in dedication to the Danish striker.
She said on Instagram to her 285,000 followers: “That’s my only one, yes… And no I don’t regret things.
“I always learn from my mistakes. So if we ever break up I just learn that it wasn’t so smart to get your boyfriend’s name on the back, but I has [sic] to try it tho.”
Roepstorff got Bendtner’s nickname of “Lord” tattooed on the back of the neck in dedication to the 6ft 4 centre-forward.
She posted the tattoo on her Instagram where you can see Bendtner holding Roepstorff’s hair back showing off her ink:
