David Seaman Happy For Spurs To Win The Champions League

Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has risked upsetting the fans of his old club by saying he would want Spurs to win the Champions League.

The 55-year-old spent 13 seasons with the Gunners winning the league twice along with the FA Cup four times.

Spurs progressed through to the quarter finals of the Champions League last night after they beat Borussia Dortmund 1-0 to finish the tie 4-0 on aggregate.

Despite being the Gunner’s bitter rivals Seaman confessed that he would like to see them win the Champions League.

He said on talkSPORT: “Seriously, I swear, I would want them to win,”

“If they were in a final against a foreign team I would want Tottenham to beat them, no doubt about that.

“Say Tottenham were playing Bayern Munich, Barcelona , whoever – I would want the English team to win.”

“I played 75 times for my country, I’d want the English team to win. That’s just the way I am,” he added.
