For months we’ve had to put up with Manchester United fans, inspired by Jesse Lingard, referring to the Emirates stadium as a ‘dance floor’ after the England international’s exploits on our turf in the league last season and in the FA Cup, this year.
However, that all came to an end yesterday.
Lingard, missing through injury, was unable to do anything to help United as his teammates succumbed to their first domestic defeat since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as manager in December.
Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were the heroes while pantomime villain Lingard could only watch on as his United team slipped back out of the top four.
And one player who made the most of a rare start couldn’t help but endear himself to the Arsenal support even more with a sly tweet aimed at the United star in the aftermath of the victory.
Mesut Ozil, who wasn’t expected to be named in Unai Emery’s starting XI after a poor performance against Rennes on Thursday, was quick to take to social media to take down Lingard in simple but very effective fashion:

Sensational stuff from the German playmaker. We might even prefer this to any assist he’s ever laid on.
