Arsenal may have leapfrogged Manchester United into fourth place by beating the Red Devils 2-0 on Sunday, but Martin Keown doesn’t believe the Gunners’ advantage will last for much longer.
The three time Premier League title winning defender thinks Unai Emery’s men, despite their impressive win at the weekend, will still finish outside the Premier League’s coveted top four spots.
Keown has predicted that Arsenal will end the season trailing Spurs and United, leaving the Gunners needing a Europa League triumph to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Keown said, “On August 6th, a week before the start of the season, I predicted this top four and I’m standing by it.
“Pochettino is too good a manager to let Spurs slip and United’s re-emergence under Solskjaer has been stunning to watch.”
Keown goes onto predict Liverpool being crowned Premier League champions with Manchester City finishing as runners up.
Where do you predict the Gunners ending the season? Will Spurs’ faltering form see them drop out of the Champions League places? Have the wheel’s come off for Solskjaer’s United after last Sunday?
