Sunday was almost a perfect day. A 2-0 victory over Manchester United earning the Gunners their place back in the Premier League top four and a clean sheet to boot. Not bad for an afternoon’s work.
However, one thing that cannot be overlooked amid the euphoria surrounding Sunday’s victory is the fact a pitch invader marred proceedings by running onto the pitch to try and assault United defender Chris Smalling.

The Arsenal fan in question was clearly inspired by an event earlier in the day at St.Andrew’s, where a Birmingham City supporter ran onto the pitch and punched Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish to the floor.
Obviously, there is no place for such idiocy in football, which has led Robbie to record his own take on the fan’s actions at the Emirates this past Sunday:
Let’s hope this is the last we see of these sorts of incidents, not just at the Emirates, but at football grounds across the UK. The Birmingham City fan has since been jailed for 14 weeks and banned for life from all football grounds in the country.
