He may have been gone from the Premier League for six years now but Sir Alex Ferguson’s shadow is once again looming large on the end of season run in.
Manchester United are currently, along with Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea, embroiled in a battle for a top four finish and Champions League qualification.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s stewardship, United have lost just once in the league since Jose Mourinho was dismissed on 18th December. Having been 11 points adrift of the top four, the Red Devils are now firmly in the hunt for a Champions League place.
And it appears the Norwegian has inherited some dark arts from his former all conquering boss at Old Trafford.
As the international break approached, United players started to develop injury problems, with five of them withdrawing from their respective countries squads, including Marcus Rashford, who has reportedly been struggling with an injury he initially picked up during United’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool a few weeks ago.

Suddenly, United fans believe this is no coincidence and is instead Solskjaer keeping his players away from extra games to maintain their fitness for the return of the Premier League, which was a tactic Ferguson used to employ with regularity during his time in charge.
Love it!! FERGIE would talk the lads into missing out on some international breaks in order to train and or heal up! You see, Ole has learned from the BEST! GREAT JOB!!
