Arsenal Prepare To Sign Bargain Aaron Ramsey Replacement

Since Aaron Ramsey’s move to Juvetus was made official in January, rumours have been spreading like wildfire about who could be brought in to replace the Welshman.

At first, it appeared as though Barcelona’s Denis Suarez was the man for the role, being recruited on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move.

However, with the 25-year-old only making six substitute appearances since his arrival, it is unlikely that a full time deal for his services will be forthcoming in June.

AC Milan’s Franck Kessie has also been touted as a Ramsey replacement, as has Manchester United’s soon-to-be out of contract Ander Herrera.

But a new frontrunner for the position has emerged in the form of Eibar’s Joan Jordán.

The 24-year-old may be a relative unknown to Gunners fans, but he has been catching the eye for Eibar since moving there from Espanyol in 2017.

Jordán reportedly has a £13 million buy out clause in his contract, which the Gunners are keen to activate at the end of the season.

Such a low transfer fee fits into the club’s proposed £45 million summer budget, as well, which would make Jordán a perfect fit in the eyes of the Arsenal hierarchy. The Spanish midfielder has nine goals in 61 La Liga appearances for Eibar.

Is he the right man for the role, though?
