Swansea has secured the loan signing of Charles Sagoe Jr from Arsenal until the end of the 23/24 season.
The nineteen-year-old will team up with fellow Arsenal talent Charlie Patino in the Championship.
Arteta hopes to give the young forward some game time as Sagoe Jr is very keen on getting some minutes under his belt.
Sagoe Jr told Swansea media: “When I get the opportunity, I’m going to take it with open arms and go from there. From a personal perspective, I want to get minutes in my legs for the first team and then try to pick up goals and assists.”
Sagoe Jr possesses the versatility to operate on either the left or right wing, showcasing a direct play style that aligns seamlessly with Mikel Arteta’s football philosophies.
Sagoe Jr, who debuted professionally for the Gunners in September during a Carabao Cup match against Brentford, played 68 minutes and has been consistently training with the first team this season.
