Jack Wilshere has held talks with Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids over becoming their new head coach.
The former Gunner and England international, 31, has been the coach of Arsenal’s Under-18 team since July 2022. Wilshere made a strong impression as he led the U18s to the FA Youth Cup final in his first season in charge.
The Colorado Rapids are owned by the same Kroenke Sports and Entertainment group that owns Arsenal and the Rapids parted ways with former head coach Robin Fraser back in September.
Wilshere made almost 200 appearances for the Gunners despite being plagued by injuries. After leaving the Gunners went on to have spells at Bolton, West Ham, and Bournemouth before getting into management.
