Viktor Gyökeres admits to ‘frustrations’ at current Arsenal role amid future rumours

Viktor Gyokeres has clarified his position within the Arsenal squad after a difficult period with limited playing time.

The Swedish international scored 21 goals in all competitions and 14 of those were scored in the Premier League.

However, after a successful first season, Gyokeres’ start to the season has been slow. He has only featured in two games in the Premier League and two games in other competitions.

An injury to Kai Havertz while he was representing Germany against Netherlands could open the door for Gyokeres to step up and give Mikel Arteta more reasons to start him.

Gyokeres scored for Sweden in a 2-1 win over Romania and after the game he spoke on his slow start to the season…

Gyokeres speaks on his slow start

Speaking to SVT Sport and relayed by SportsMole, Gyokeres said: “Of course, there was a lot of speculation. But I had a full pre-season, and it felt good. I was fully focused on Arsenal.”

On his current role within the Arsenal squad, he added: “Of course, it’s frustrating, no matter where you are. You always want to be on the pitch and make a contribution, score goals.

“It can be frustrating at times, but I just try to do my best when I get the chance and focus on what I can control.

“It felt good last season, we won the league and did well in all the other competitions too. Of course, we could have won another title, but winning the Premier League after a 22-year wait is certainly something to be proud of.”

Gyokeres still has an important role this season

Even though his season has not been as good as he would have hoped, Gyokeres still has an important role to play for Arsenal this season.

Given how close Arsenal were to winning multiple trophies last season, it is clear that Mikel Arteta wants to win more and having squad depth will be one of the reasons as to why Arsenal can win more.

Also, with Kai Havertz’s injury, Gyokeres will be required to start more games. Given how early Havertz’s injury is, this already shows that having Gyokeres in the squad will be helpful.

If Gyokeres can get a run of games, his confidence will start to build and his performances will improve, similarly to how they did last season.

It is always tough for top strikers to deal with reduced minutes, especially after coming off a strong season with impressive goal tallies. But with football schedules being as demanding as they are, an unexpected opportunity or a sudden shift in squad rotation can completely flip the narrative for a player overnight.

Staying patient and taking advantage when a fresh chance comes along is crucial in elite sports—much like knowing when to spot a good opportunity when taking a quick break at https://megajokerslot.co.uk . If Viktor Gyökeres can capitalize on his international momentum and land a solid run of starts, he could easily get back into peak scoring form.

I don’t think frustration is a big deal. If you’re a striker and you’re sitting on the bench, of course you’re gonna be annoyed. The important part is what he does when he gets the chance. @classroom games

it’s completely natural for Gyökeres to feel frustrated by limited starts early in the campaign, but his comments show he remains professional and focused on controlled execution rather than causing drama in Uno Online
