The Gunners are scheduled to play at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium in Seville tomorrow evening as their third fixture of the Champions League.
Following a frustrating draw at Stamford Bridge, the Gunners are eager to return to their winning ways, having secured only one win in their previous three matches.
Goalkeeper
Mikel Arteta is expected to drop David Raya after his shambolic performance over the weekend and replace him with Aaron Ramsdale. Raya was caught out of position by Chelsea’s winger, Mikhailo Mudryk. Notably, Ramsdale resumed training just two days ago, after the birth of his baby boy over the weekend.
Defenders
With a less than impressive performance on Saturday evening, Oleksandr Zinchenko is expected to take a place on the bench, making way for Takehiro Tomiyasu as a likely replacement
Arteta is predicted to play his strongest defensive line which will include Tomiyasu (LB), Gabriel Magalhães (LCB), William Saliba (RCB) and Ben White (RB).
Midfielders
Mikel Arteta is expected to start Declan Rice again with Thomas Partey reportedly injured. Expect Kai Havertz to take on a box-to-box role, while Martin Odegaard will continue in his usual spot. On the bench, Arteta will have the likes of Emile Smith-Rowe, Jorginho, and Fabio Vieira all at his disposal.
Attackers
As Gabriel Martinelli played over the weekend, Arteta is predicted to start Leandro Trossard against Sevilla after the Belgian had a huge impact off the bench. With Bukayo Saka back to full fitness, he is almost guaranteed to start and it’s highly likely that Gabriel Jesus will be tasked with leading the line, assuming his customary role as a false nine. Arteta is expected to adhere to his tried-and-true 4-3-3 formation.
