It was a 10 out of 10 performance for Arsenal starlet Chido Obi-Martin as he found the net 10 times as Arsenal U16s beat Liverpool U16s by 14 goals to 3.
A special mention to Andre Annous who scored and provided four assists while 13-year-old Max Dowman scored two goals and got three assists.
The next wonderkid coming out of Hale End recently made his debut for Arsenal U21 and U19 this season. Obi-Martin also scored a hat-trick for the U18s against Southampton earlier this season. The Danish U17 international trained with the Gunners’ first team before their fixture against Sevilla.
Obi-Martin has had praise from Arsenal legend Ian Wright who said – on his podcast Wrighty’s House – “Chido Obi-Martin, he’s 15, honestly, he’s like 6 foot 2 and he looks really quick.”
On the international stage, Obi-Martin has scored seven goals in nine appearances for Denmark U17 since the start of this season.
The future star has agreed a pre-scholarship agreement for the 2024/25 season with Arsenal, so remember the name and keep your eye on the next potential superstar from Hale End.
