Arsenal handed instant Iliman Ndiaye after fresh Everton problem and Mikel Arteta needs

With Arsenal wanting to bolster their attacking quality this summer. The club have been informed over a potential move for one of the most electric wingers in the Premier League.

Arsenal are yet to make a major statement in the summer transfer window, but reports suggest the club are determined to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.

The need for reinforcements became clear in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, where Mikel Arteta’s side struggled to create anything throughout the match.

Arsenal managed just one shot on target across 120 minutes and, despite their success this season, have often faced criticism for relying too heavily on set-pieces.

With new attacking additions expected this summer, the Gunners could look like a very different side by the start of next season.

Arsenal informed over Iliman Ndiaye

According to reports from Graeme Bailey, Iliman Ndiaye is open to leaving Everton amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding his contract situation.

Several clubs have reportedly been made aware of the Senegal international’s availability should talks over a new deal fail to reach a breakthrough.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are all understood to have been informed of the situation, while Ndiaye’s representatives have also held discussions with a number of clubs across Europe.

However, with the forward focused on what he hopes will be a successful World Cup campaign, any formal negotiations are likely to be delayed until after the tournament.

Is Ndiaye the perfect fit?

While Ndiaye’s return of six goals and three assists in the Premier League this season may not immediately stand out, his performances have consistently caught the eye.

He has established himself as one of the league’s most exciting dribblers, averaging three successful take-ons per 90 minutes. His creativity has also been a key asset for Everton, with him creating seven big chances over the course of the campaign.

According to Transfermarkt, the 25-year-old is currently valued at around £50 million, a figure that, given his age, profile and Premier League experience, could represent excellent business for Arsenal.

However, questions may still be asked about whether he can make the step up to an elite level. With Arteta aiming to compete across all competitions once again next season, any new additions will need to make an immediate impact and strengthen an already highly competitive squad.
