Juventus eye January loan swoop for Arsenal forward amid game-time concerns

Juventus have reportedly held internal talks over the possibility of signing Noni Madueke in an attempt to bolster their squad in the January transfer window.

The Arsenal and England winger has struggled for game time since returning from World Cup duty, with fellow countryman Bukayo Saka having made such a flying start to the 2026/27 campaign, but he did manage to score in his first start against Ipswich in the Carabao Cup 3rd round.

Madueke was a regular feature for Arsenal last season, with Saka missing large periods of the season due to injury, helping the club to win their first Premier League title in 22 years, and ending a 20-year wait for an appearance in the Champions League Final in Budapest last May.

Turin hierarchy identify Madueke as a target

According to Tuttomercatoweb in Italy, Juventus will approach the English Champions in the New Year to discuss the possibility of a loan move for the 24-year-old.

The Bianconeri are keen to add fresh talent to their squad in an attempt to win their first Scudetto since 2020.

Any move from Madueke would see the winger face stern competition from players already in Turin, with the likes of Francisco Conceição and former Arsenal target Kenan Yidliz being fan favourites at the Allianz.

But with Juventus having struggled at the start of the season, currently languishing in 8th place after only 2 wins from their opening four games, the Italian Old Lady could be willing to offer Madueke an attractive package to lure him to Northern Italy.

Madueke a key player in Arsenal’s squad

With a lack of game time at the Emirates due to the form of Saka, the Englishman could be considering his future at the club, and may look for loan opportunities in order to secure more regular game time.

However, with Mikel Arteta placing huge emphasis on the role of his entire squad at the Emirates, coupled with the injury risks faced by Bukayo Saka, it seems unlikely that either Arsenal or Madueke himself would be willing to entertain a move for the winger to Turin.

Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend on the south coast at Brighton, where Madueke will be hoping his good performance in the midweek cup game will earn him some minutes at the Amex as the Gunners look to continue their perfect start to the new campaign.
